Mission

Ballet Pacifica's mission is to expose young people to the artistry, beauty and athleticism of ballet through educational outreach and performances. Its innovative "SMArts" Program (Science, Math and the Arts) offers an interactive digital curriculum for second and third graders that integrates dance and movement with concepts such as symmetry, balance, force, story-telling and world culture, culminating in a performance of the "Nutcracker Suites" ballet. Ballet Pacifica proudly serves thousands of students across Los Angeles County, and is excited to expand its arts education outreach program throughout California and beyond.

Jack Virga-Hall

 Co-Founder

Jack Virga-Hall is the treasurer of PDC's offshoot, Ballet Pacifica. He became active in the arts at a very young age.  Trained as a martial artist, it was an early introduction to musical theater that allowed him to hone his skills for dancing, singing, and acting.

Working for an entertainment company throughout high school, Jack decided to continue his education with the California Institute of the Arts, founded by Roy & Walt Disney.  His studies focused on dance and music, introducing him to the director of Ken Dance Company, the first professional company he toured with. He currently tours internationally with Lula Washington Dance Theatre, modern company (since 2008), as well as Pony box Dance Theatre, contemporary company and most recently dancing for Ballet D’ Hommes a classical ballet all male pointe company.

Jack is an ABT Certified Teacher, who has successfully completed the Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 5 of the ABT's National Training Curriculum. After working with several companies and performing across the country, Jack is dedicated to sharing his knowledge of the art of dance and bring the joy of the art to as many young lives as possible.
